Dr. Shailendra Singh Chauhan is currently serving as the Director at R. R. Institute of Modern Technology, Lucknow (UP) India. With over two decades of academic and administrative experience, he is a seasoned academic leader and researcher specializing in Robotics and Automation, Artificial Intelligence, and Biomechanics.
He has served in pivotal roles such as Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dean Academics, Head of the Department and NBA/NIRF/NAAC Coordinator across several reputed institutions. Under his guidance, 09 engineering programs have successfully achieved NBA accreditation, and he has led various national and international conferences and consultancy projects. A key proponent of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Dr. Chauhan has led curriculum reforms, promoted interdisciplinary education, and emphasized outcome-based learning in line with NEP goals. Under his leadership, the institute achieved TCS Accreditation for three years, further strengthening industry-academia linkage and employability standards.
Dr. Chauhan holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and has significantly contributed to academic quality enhancement as an NBA, NAAC, and NIRF Coordinator. He has delivered expert lectures and keynote addresses at various national and international conferences on emerging technologies including Electric Vehicles, Robotics, and Engineering Innovation.
A prolific researcher, Dr. Chauhan has published more than 75 research papers extensively in SCOPUS and SCI-indexed journals, authored 05 technical books, and holds 12 patents, including innovations in prosthetics and sustainable materials. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, a member of ISTE and AMM, and actively serves on academic boards including the Board of Studies at AKTU, Lucknow.
Dr. Chauhan’s international collaborations and leadership roles in academia underscore his commitment to advancing research, innovation, and quality education.
