EXAMINATION RULES FOR STUDENTS

The following rules shall be applicable to all students of RRIMT, Lucknow, during the conduct of written examinations forming a part of the evaluation process for their curricular courses.

EXAMINATION RULES FOR STUDENTS – RRIMT, LUCKNOW

The following rules shall be applicable to all students of RRIMT, Lucknow, during written examinations forming a part of the evaluation process for their curricular courses:

  1. Prohibition of Mobile Phones:
    No student shall be allowed to carry a mobile phone or any electronic communication device inside the examination hall.
  2. Identity Verification:
    All students must carry their valid identity card during examinations and produce it on demand for verification.
  3. Permitted Materials:
    Students must bring only the materials expressly permitted by the course instructor for a particular examination (e.g., pens, pencils, calculators if allowed, etc.).
  4. Seating Arrangement:
    Students are required to occupy their allotted seats at least five (5) minutes prior to the scheduled commencement of the examination.
  5. Prohibited Materials:
    Before taking their seats, students must ensure that they are not carrying any unauthorized material. Possession of such material, even if not used, shall be treated as a deliberate attempt to use unfair means and will invite strict disciplinary action as per institute rules.

At the Start of the Examination

  1. Closure of Doors:
    The doors of the examination hall shall be closed five (5) minutes prior to the commencement of the examination for the distribution of examination materials to students who are already seated. Once the distribution is complete, the doors may be reopened to allow latecomers to enter.
  2. Entry of Latecomers:
    Late-arriving students must quietly proceed to their allotted seats and wait until the invigilator hands over the examination material to them.
  3. Restriction on Late Entry:

For in-semester examinations, no student shall be permitted to enter the examination hall 15 minutes after the scheduled commencement of the examination.

DURING THE EXAMINATION

  1. Exchange of Materials:
    Exchange, borrowing, or lending of any material during the examination is strictly prohibited.
  2. Use of Unfair Means:
    No student shall resort to any form of unfair means while taking the examination. If a student is found using unfair means, he/she shall be immediately expelled from the examination hall for that session, and the matter shall be reported to the Head of Department, Flying Squad, and the Director of the Institution for further disciplinary action.
  3. Copying or Assisting in Copying:
    If a student is found copying from another student, both students—the one seeking assistance and the one providing it—shall be subjected to equal disciplinary action.
  4. Leaving the Seat/Examination Hall:
  • A student may leave his/her seat during the examination only with the permission of the invigilator(s) of the examination hall.
  • For visiting the restroom, explicit permission must be obtained from the faculty invigilator on duty.
  1. Supplementary Sheets:
    No supplementary answer sheets shall be issued to students during the last five (5) minutes of the examination.

ON COMPLETION THE EXAMINATION

  1. No student will be allowed to leave the room in the first 15 minutes of the in sessional examination (typical duration 1:30 hour) or first 30 minutes of the end- semester examination  (typical  duration  of 3 hours)  and in the last 5 minutes  of the examination.
  2. Students who are present in the last 5 minutes of the examination will have to wait till the exam material is collected  from all the students   by  the invigilators and they are permitted to leave by the faculty invigilator of that exam.
  3. While leaving the examination hall the students should not hang around to discuss the As there may be other examinations still in progress, quietly leave the building to ensure that you do not disturb them.
